Fishing Expedition

Fishing Expedition feels like a classic cartoon from the early 2000s. There’s a Fisherman and a lake packed to the brim with fish. The scene is tranquil – green hills, crystal clear water, blue skies, and a peaceful background. But fishing is serious business, and that’s what the Fisherman is here to do.

Every cast he makes costs you a bet, but has the potential to pull up one of eight different species. The catch is, there are also pieces of trash in the lake. Hook a fish, and you could win 50x your bet; land a bit of trash, and you won’t be getting paid at all.

Single Cast Resolution

Each bet is resolved immediately. The line goes down, and a catch comes up. Nothing carries over between casts, and nothing builds toward a Bonus Round. The Shark can hit on any cast, regardless of what came before, and the same goes for junk. 

Fish Values

All payouts act as Multipliers of the bet per cast. A Shark returns 50x your bet, Swordfish 20x, Sunfish 10x, and down through four more fish. The lowest-paying catch, which is the Orange Clownfish, awards 0.30x your bet.

Visual Anticipation

In many casino games, you never get to see the top payout until it’s won. But in Fishing Expedition, all the prizes are constantly swimming around underneath the boat. The anticipation of casting a line and seeing it go right in front of a 50x Shark is half the fun.
